• What kind of services do you offer?

    • Play! pet Care provides pets with private dog walks, off-leash doggie playgroups, in-home overnight sitting, doggie day care and evening care, Home care, small pet visits, special request services, Adventure outings and pet taxi service. Please see this page for more information on each type of service.

  • Can you take care of my pet on a last minute basis?

    • Often we can care for your pet due to emergency or unexpected travel, but not always. We will do our best to accommodate you for emergencies and last minute calls. If you can, it’s better to give us at least 24 hours notice!

  • What types of pets can you care for?

    • Play! pet sitters have experience with a wide variety of animals, from dogs and cats to small animals such as hamsters, lizards, birds, squirrels and even horses.

  • What locations do you serve?

    • Play! pets serve the Hillcrest, Balboa Park, Banker’s Hill, Midtown, Normal Heights, University Heights and Mission Valley Areas. Depending on where you are located and the services needed we may be able to care for your pet even if you are not in one of the areas we regularly service.

  • Do you belong to Pet Sitters International?

    • Yes.

  • Why do you need to meet with my pet and I before sitting for us?

    • To ensure the best possible care for you and your pet, we like to meet you and your pet to discuss the services needed and the schedule your pet prefers. It also gives us a chance to see the environment your pet lives in, learn of any special needs your pet has and pick up the key to your home so we can take care of your pet while you are away.

  • What do your services cost?

    • Play! pet care has a standard set of prices that are subject to slight variation due to distance from service areas, types of services needed, number and type of pets and number of visits a pet needs on a daily basis.

  • When will you come by to take care of my pets?

    • We like to make your pet as comfortable as possible by following the daily schedule your pet has as closely as possible. For dogs in the off-leash doggie daycare groups, we have a morning and an afternoon playgroup which start at approximately 7:30 and 1:00 each day.

  • Do you have references?

    • We have references from satisfied clients, please see the following webpage.

  • When will you bill me for services?

    • We bill for services after performing them. If you are away on a trip, we will bill you on your return. If you use us regularly to walk your dog, you will receive a bill at the end of the month. We accept cash, check and credit card via Paypal.

  • What hours can I call you?

    • My “office hours” are 7am to 6pm daily and I answer e-mail throughout the day.
